A nice day for it
On Saturday a contingent of none steam enthusiast Scottish visitors (plus interloper Mr Traction Time & daughter) expressed a desire to see the engines. We therefore organised a steam up, tea & cakes followed by a run round the block ending up at the Bell for lunch. Pleasant day was had by all and I think it helped the Scots forget about their defeat in the rugby. Anyway as usual a few photos and short video. The slow ascent up the hill was to try and reduce ash being deposited on the visitors*cry

The shadow's look a lot longer in the picture's of the engines outside the pub, no doubt the stay inside was somewhat extended !.

:(You might say that but I couldn't possibly comment. ;)
You do realise that the sun sets very quickly particularly in deepest Derbyshire now that winter is almost upon us:D |
I like the collecting box......the RNLI is one organisation that I actively support.....as well as a number of restored lifeboats.
