Fowler Plough Van

Someone out there must know where there is a Fowler 5 man plough van in dire need of restoration !

I am idealy looking for a van which is still roughly in one piece but in need of complete timber restoration, although would consider anything from a rolling chassis upto completely restored. The earlier the better but will consider anything so long it it is Fowler and used to be towed by a ploughing engine !

Many thanks

Guy

Thanks - I have all the drawings and if I can't rescue one I will build one from scratch but it is nice to have all the original metal bits which of course saves loads of time ! I know of several rotting away which aren;t for sale or are at lottery number prices !

Many thanks fo the tip off - I bought it with some reluctance as the ebay advert was very poorly written and I could have ended up with a box of B&Q pine planks and some wheels but when I picked it up it was far more than I had hoped for - a complete pre 1900 five man plough van part restored but in generally good order with all the original bits even down to the table, cupboards, beds, belly boxes, in fact the only bits missing are the steps and the stove so thank you again to all those who phoned, emailed or posted the info.

The owner had carefully stripped it and saved eveything but had no clue as to what it actually was ! He still thinks of it as a shepherds hut even after I expained what it really was (after loading it and paying for it)

Thanks again

Guy
