Did anyone go to Ardingly

Used to go and enjoy it immensely.

gregsteam1968 11th July 2011 08:23 PM

fowler agg volenter sorry dont who was with her

It was Dave Freemantle's Fowler aggie Volunteer, number 13140. And Graham Avery's saw bench in the wood sawing area

I would like to say how impressed I was with the recovery of the Burrell on Saturday afternoon. The whole operation was organised, profesional and swift. Safety was highly regarded, for those involved and those spectating which was great. It was lovely to see the entire recovery conducted by exhibits from the show, that made it extra special.
A big congratulations to all involved, it was fantastic to watch,
I wish Dave the best of luck with the repairs and look forward to seeing the engine back on the rally scene very soon.

I was also impressed with the line up of miniatures, quite a selection on display and was great to see them all using the smooth roads to full advantage.

A fab show, highly recomended.

We were there and had a mighty fab time as ever. The spitfire display was errr underwhelming to say the least considering how much money was spent on it. Lovely showground and ideal for miniatures. The 4" Ruston had was in steam for over 5 hours each day and running for most of that in high gear. The coal was really top quality as well.

Well done Alan & Mandy Latham (the steam stewards) who worked really hard to organise our section.

The company was excellent as ever with 19 of us sitting round the yog on Sunday night having a sing-song until midnight but now need to dry out before Lingfield...
