Shildon Steam Gathering
 

Just before going out to terrorise the good folk of Shildon, Billy Treloar's Boer War Fowler and Michael Davison's Marshall "Mary Margaret". T3 roller "Whitby Jet" hoped to join in the fun tomorrow.

Turning round the island at the top of Shildon bypass this evening, Billy on the Fowler didn't want to get held up by us on the Marshall so went back down the bypass to the lorry museum, we took a scenic route (!) through New Shildon.

Back at the lorry museum, David Todd's 3" Burrell was busy giving rides, and our Aveling looks on, wanting to play, but awaiting its new tender. So I changed some studs instead. Maybe next year?

Sadly "Whitby Jet" didn't make it today, but Alan & Andrew Borthwick came along instead with "Ayesha". All three raising steam this morning in the museum yard.
