Fowler steam cultivator
Rescued a 9/11 cultivator from the melter with seconds to spare after a call from a worried observer. I had to pay the scrapman off and then haul it home. Its been converted to a drawbar, so no front wheel, no steering and no turntable. Lift mechanism is still in place, seems to have been used behind a crawler with a ccu winch. In very good condition otherwise, good legs and points, frame of the drivers seat/box, clear casting on the wheels; John Fowler of Leeds. I could use it behind my 1944 D7 but am open to offers.

Forgot to mention. Does anyone know more about these things, e.g is there a serial number likely to be stamped anywhere?
It has "No. 6" welded onto the front crossmember, so it appears to have at one time been part of a large contractors fleet. I cant seem to post photos but will email them if anyone wants to see it or can upload them. Nick |
Found the serial number, following a little help from a member.
12344 stamped on top of chassis by wheel. I guess there might even be records somewhere that might help date this and give some provenance? Nick |
