Klinger Reflex Water Gauge

I am looking for a Klinger reflex water gauge with an overall length of about 6 inches. I think the size is designated as No 2.

If anyone has one for sale please email or PM.

Mike

Mike, I have one 5 1/4 inch long in the body, with 1/2 tails. Its source suggests it came off a Garrett 4CD. It has a nice slim body.

Any use?, if so I'll send a picture.

Hedd,

The second one down looks like the one I have with the set screws mounted on the back. What are the dimensions of this one and does it have N0 2 stamped on it? Not sure about the lump on the bottom but I guess this can be unscrewed and replaced with a long tail.

The second one down certainly does have No2 stamped on it. However it is now refitted to the Marshall.

The lump you refer to is a Dewrance type gland for the top fitting still in situ, far better than messing about with rubber cones. You can see the corresponding lower fitting in the pic.

Klinger gauge

Hi Mike is your gauge still up for grabs? It is the same as fitted to my 7 nhp Fowler that needs fixing and have a funny feeling the brass screws will need to be drilled and tapped as it is seized solid.

Mark,

I'm still looking for a Klinger although I now have some castings which will make a suitable reflex gauge but not quite the same as my existing left hand one. The Heritage Steam Supplies ones seem OK but again they do match my existing gauge.

If someone has a Klinger No 2 for sale which is similar to Hedd's (the one in the bottom of the photo) then please let me know.

Mike, proper engines only have one glass.

Who needs two?
