Wilton Model Show
WOW.
Many thanks to the organisers, what a fab event. I think there was 8 models in steam outside, including a 12" Burrell scc, and two gorgeous 4" Fowler RLs. Inside, I was met by the fablulous sight of a 4" Super scenic, half built and looking stunning stood on its matching scale lo-loader. Thats going to be magnificent when its finished, good luck to the builder. Moving into the hall the eye was immediately drawn to the 2" steam yatch at the back of the hall, its quite a big thing! Nearer the door was a wonderful mix of various model Fowlers, 2" was obviously a favorite scale, the two showmans were stunning. The biggest on the table was a museum quality 3" Fowler agricultural, hugged closely by 2 2" versions of the same. Moving through the hall there was a stunning collection of cardboard models of engines, about 1" I guess. It was hard to tell they were cardbard though, they were all beautiful. Down the side of the hall was a model tram way, beautifuly displayed. The next big exhibit was a collection of about 100 match-stick boats, a whole Navy of them. A credit to the maker who started building them in the late 1940s. The stage was take by a 1" scale fairground, a lovely collection of models including all the packing trucks and even diesel barrels. I haven't mentioned everything that was on display, the hall was full of stunning models, of exquisit detail and quality. Weldone to everyone who exhibited. I look forward to the show in 2 years. Thanks Wizz |

Do you know if plans are available for the compound Fowler A8? or is it the MJ Engineering compound A7, but named an A8? Thanks, Doug |
Doug - Its the MJ A7 with a bit of tweaking.
