Somerset Traction Engine Club New Year Road Run
 

The Somerset Traction Engine Club’s New Year’s Day Road Run will take place on January 1st 2011. The venue will be the same as for the last two years, the Sedgemoor Auction Centre, alongside the A38 at Huntworth near Bridgwater, Somerset, a short distance from Junction 24 on M5. As usual, the event will be open to participants and spectators from 9.30am, with the run itself starting at 11am. Two routes will be available. A longer run for cars, commercials and motor cycles, running into Taunton, then returning to the market site by a different route. A shorter circular route will be suggested for tractors and steam engines and those requiring a more sedate pace! Not sure if any steam engines will appear...
