Somewhat belatedly...

The museum houses a collection representing the industrial past of Derby (mainly Railway and Rolls Royce) which in my view is one of the few things that Derby city has to commend it. It is a key visitor attraction in the Derwent Valley World Heritage site, which was nominated to recognise the early industrial history of the area. As a consolation, I suppose we can all look forward to seeing the refurbished Council House which will be re-opened in 2 years following a £34m facelift. John |
