Wallis & Steevens Advance

We are after the towing link (looks like a big "D" link) that fits on the front of the headstock for 8069 if anyone has one spare?

Regards

Matt

Hi, when i used to own 7962 i wanted one and couldnt get one anywhere, so i made one from a smaller one and addad a peice in it for the correct width, but i only used it to hold it on lowloader as if you leave it on it scratchs all your paint off the forks.

Chris.

A suitable big D shackle might make a very acceptable substitute , and would not look out of place .

Hi Bob,

That is what our first option was, but I have looked at all the local suppliers and they don't do them in the size were after.

Try a Google search , they are certainly made in all sizes . You could always somehow fit an undersize pin if neccessary .

If you find one, could you get me one as well? I have not managed to find one.

Suggest you try ships chandlers. Shackles come in all sizes up to those that you cannot even carry yourself.

Or lifting tackle suppliers .

Can anyone post a picture of what we are talking about?

Cheers
