You could ask Blackjack as I believe he has a nice shiny new one! ;)

make your own, all you need is a decent length of substantial bar,2 agricultural weld on towing eyes, a grinder and a welder, job done! take you about a hour to make.

that what i was going to say, i used some heavy "U" shaped section that the eyes slid into and welded them up. Been more than happy with it.

Hi
I would say the same, but why weld them? They allways seem to be welded, would bolting not be a better bet, I mean the shear strenth would be huge, and then when it does get bent, which it ultimateley will do, you can just bolt the ends on to a new piece of section, without a load of grinding. We never use weld in a loaded area, bolts are the only way, as if something did happen, and you had welded, then it is ultimateley responsible, unless you are cirtificated maybe, but I don't know about that! I have an original ex army push pole with the correct eyes to fit the NATO hitches on your truck. (The agri pick up hitch eyes are too small to fit them!)
Ring me on 07711 233112 Cheers Robert |
