Allchin 1 1/2 inch TE - castings etc. wanted
 

I have just acquired a copy of the drawings and book re the build for the Allchin 1 1/2 inch "Royal Chester" Traction Engine.

Before I go ordering any castings from new I would be interested if anyone has any of these or other relevant items for this TE that they are looking to sell/get rid of. :)

GULP - not sure how vendor arrives at the minimum price - I have seen some really nice finished models going for just over £2,000?

Anyway, thanks for the link - was "interesting"! I would prefer to do most of the build myself, although I will be getting the boiler made professionally as I have only ever done soft soldering and very simple silver soldering, and would not trust any boiler that I put together:o

Ref your signature - my children (well, aged 18 and 19 this year) refuse to acknowledge any talk about my "workshop" - they insist on calling it my "toyroom" :D

i have a part built one in 1and half inch with ready made boiler very nicely made clean and tidy no rust on parts wheels done all that needed to finish is cylinder block some gears and motion and fittings assembly and paint work work to very high standard if intrested drop me a line
