ZSL Whipsnade Zoo Steam Weekend
 

ZSL Whipsnade Zoo will be holding a steam weekend on the 14th & 15th August 2010. This weekend will be near the 40th anniversary of the steam railway at Whipsnade. there will be 10 engines on site, various tractors and a few Model T fords. The steam railway will be running both engines all weekend, with various demo freight trains/works trains in between normal passenger trains hauled by our historic Fowler Diesel locomotives.
Entry via main gate at normal admission rate for that day.

Just to bring near the top, we can also confirm for the first time in 40 years, our two steam locos will be re united with Melior from Sittingbourne and Kemsley.

Melior was loaded tonight and will be delivered tomorrow.
