Hi Guys,
I after a LH TAP 16mm 1.5mm Pitch, I have find one but £40, it's on a once off use for brass so I only after a cheap one.

Steve make sure you are not looking at an M16 x 1.5 metric fine tap, from our discussions you need a non standard Acme or ISO metric trapizoidal thread form.

Can't you just screwcut the nut on a lathe

Thanks Jason, I have not got a tool nor have I tried screw cutting yet, I will as friend is going to teach me. I studied the thread further and the only gauge that fit is as above, I have ordered a M16 1.5mm RH so will tried first for y axis, I noticed that the drill taping size size is 14.5mm but the hole size is 15mm ID and 16mm OD so they (Far East) could have use a 15mm dill to get flat threads. To be honest, I think I will have to cut a tread, I'm just being impatient and look at easy option first. plus another tap for my collection.
