Celebration of Steam at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard
 

Hiya Everyone,

I'm Terri Hall and I'm the Events Co-ordinator here at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. I organise an annual Steam Rally called Celebration of Steam. This year the event takes place on Saturday 8th & Sunday 9th May and includes:-

* Steam engines, miniatures, cars and boats!
* Tours of the worlds first completely steam powered factory, the Block Mills
* Real ale, cider and sausage festival
* The landspeed record breaking British Steam Car, with talks from the driver
* Brass bands, morris dancers etc
* All with the backdrop of the Historic Dockyard, HMS Victory, HMS Warrior 1860, the Mary Rose Museum, the National Museum of the Royal Navy and Action Stations.
