Bromilow and Edwards hydraulic rams

I need approx $30,000 australian dollars and 6 months leave from work in order to complete my restoration project.

But then I guess we all could use that.

But seriously:

If anyone has any Bromilow and Edwards hydraulic rams going spare I would be interested in seeing some photos and dimensions and if suitable possibly purchasing a pair to go on my Garrett Undertype wagon.

Good luck on your search. I've a Garrett Tipping Trailer that used the B & E rams, have rebuilt as a standard trailer for now.

I was wondering if there were any drawings around so I could make them?

Is yours an Arato trailer or only a two wheel steer trailer as I have an Arato that was originally a flat bed.

A few pictures of Bromilow and Edwards tipping rams on a 3 ton Albion truck. The Garrett ones are probably larger diameter and the arrangement of the rams is more complicated due to the need for the rams to swivel in two directions to allow for three way tipping. These should give some idea of what is required.

Dave,
I have been in touch with EDBRO but they don't hold any old drawings.
Michael,
These photos are great they look like a really simple design which should be easy to replicate. I should be able to work out "very" rough dimensions from the general arrangement drawings I have.
The swivel pipe fittings will be a little more difficult though.
Thanks again.
