Wollaton Hall Industrial Museum
I went over to the Wollaton Hall Industrial Museum in Nottingham today to get a dose of winter steam. Here are a selection of pictures I took:

I'm not sure what the latest is on it's closure. It would be a shame to see it go as things like the beam engine would not been seen working again I shouldn't have thought. It's not really like the engines are stuffed and mounted either, one of the ploughers was moving about and the portable was in steam.

Did not see you there David , all is not lost at Wollaton as the Arkwright Society are looking to take over the running of the museum ,but its early days yet .
dont forget Papplwick Pumping Station is open and in steam on the 27 and 28 Dec ,2 beam engines and the Linby winding engine running . |
