Wanted scammell gearbox mounts and other bits brake linings

Hi I am restoring a scammell highwayman and am trying to get the 2 rear gearbox mounts have been in contact with a few people but had no luck. Does anybody know where I get some of these bushes

I am also looking for the rubber gate where the gears are numbered as mine is broken

Does anyone have any rear scammell wheels mine has the balloon type and I was thinking of changing the for double wheels on the back, 10 stud wheels don't fit I suppose scammell wheels are one offs

Looking for a set of rear brake shoes as mine are really rusted and a set of linings

If anyone has any info that would be fantastic

Have you tried the www.scammellregister.co.uk they might be able to point you in the right direction.

Is there enough of the gearbox rubbers left to get the sizes ?

As an alternative source would be to have some made B. H Leake manufacture rubber mouldings, might be worth trying other firms advertising in Old Glory etc as someone else may have already gone down that route and tooling may exist.

Scammell wheels are pretty much unique in that the pitch circle diameter is different to the standard used by virtually every other manufacturer.
The most successful adaptions I have come across involve machining the centre disc out of the scammell wheel rim and welding it back into a modern tubeless type rim. Whilst not totally authentic this is a good compromise and will be much easier to obtain tyres in the future.

This is what we done.

I cut the centres out of 3 385/65/22.5 wheels, then had new centres, spacers and stiffeners laser cut and welded in. Then powder coated.

I’m running Bridgestone 385/65/22.5 tyres as these are close in tread pattern and size to the original 14.00x16”

Ive machined soft nylon from solid and bonded it in the original mounts before now. Trouble is even if you found an old part chances are the rubber will have gone hard and will fail very quickly.
