Dublin to Cork road run

Plans are well under way for the Irish Steam Engine Owners Association, Dublin To Cork 2010 Road Run. It was ten years ago since we first did this run and now we have itchy feet again. The chosen charity for this event is Crumlin Children's Hospital. As the new motorway is now opened the route will take the course of the old Dublin to Cork road. The run will start on Sat. 29th of May and finish on Sat. 5th June, with the Innishannon Steam Rally taking place on Sun 6th and Mon 7th June, in Cork.
Entry forms and sponsorship cards are now available from ................

What wouldn't I give to be there for that, not that I'd have an engine to drive, for all the stuff I have their all in a million pieces, and all over the place, but I might get a wild hair across me arse and fly home for a week..................

On behalf of the Irish Steam Engine Owners Association and thanks to the great efforts of Chris Glynn, I collected Six tonne of coal from Board Na Mona today and another Twenty tonne to be collected from Staffords Fuels in the very near future. So with this twenty six tonne and another twenty odd tonne pledged, we will have about fifty tonne in total by the start of the run. This means that coal will be provided to everyone taking part.thumbsupthumbsup
Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the beer, but a certain amount has been organised:p;) and a COURTESY tent has been organised for the field in Innishannon,:D:p so a certain amount of REFRESHMENTS will be provided also.*party*party
Remember your entry form needs to be in by 1/04/2010 and all are welcome.
The next meeting for the run is on 24/03/2010 in Carlow and all are welcome to attend.
