11 tpi "taper" taps and 8 tpi taps
 

Has any one got any of the old railway style taps, they have a full form thread right to the end of the lead so are tapered down to the next lower size. I am not sure if this has a particular name but they are useful for opening up holes with damaged threads as they "find" the old thread quite properly rather than cutting a new start which sometimes misses the old one.
I only require 11tpi, sizes 7/8", 15/16", 1" would be useful and it doesn't matter if they are a bit worn or damaged as they can be reground.
Also if anyone has any set of 8 tpi taps (in the same size range) which were used for particular purposes.
These taps are unlikely to be of much use apart than for their intended purpose, so if you have any lying about please would you consider selling them to me.
