Burrell SCC Ongoing Project
 

Burrell SCC of 1903. No 2612. Single drive 2 spd.
Full history has been provided by RLS, rallied in 50's and 60's in Cornwall and then stripped for restoration.
Bought by us 3 years ago and recovered everything apart from the seat, bracket, fairleads, draincocks.
Boiler has been totally rebuilt (to be completed in Autum) by Rushmere Engineering and pressings from Mendip inc Box, new girder stays, foundation ring, barrell, throatplate, tubeplate, backhead and hornplates repaired.
New spectacle plates made using old parts, all new wheel rims and T rings and new rubber tyres fitted to all wheel.
All small items blasted an primed where to be painted, second hand tender but all original fittings with it.
Motion needs going through, block being positioned on barrell currently, the block was packed with grease when laid up and has preserved well. The gears will go again or could be replaced.
Complete with original and newer log book, old photos of works days, rally plaques, lamps etc.
Reluctant sale due to personal circumstances
Located in Cornwall with Boiler in Leighton Buzzard, Rushmere can cobtinue with further works with new owner if required.
