ill keep a look out for you all!

after chatting a bit a TT member or 2 behind the scenes, an idea was mentioned...

As I've said on here before, I'm keen but "green" if you get my drift.... and without an engine of my own forthcoming I was wondering if it would please be possible to have a steer of an engine at some point?

thanks in advance,

matt

I will be there this year for the first time with my 9 inch Mann Steam wagon, still having teething problems as it is its first year rallying, hope it lasts the duration. I am really looking forward to being in the minature steam section having been in the Vintage Motorcycles for the last 7 years or so. If anyone has any information on Mann steam wagon gearing or knows of someone who can build the correct drive train please pop other to see what I am up against.

see you all there

jameswaterfield 17th August 2011 07:56 AM

First visit this year I hope if I can organise it. Is a good programme published you can buy at the gate that shows the site accurately and where the various demonstrations are etc?

Thanks

James

Mr Steam Jnr 17th August 2011 08:06 AM

James

The programme is a thick glossy magazine, usually about £5-6 but wotrth picking up. It has a map that is as accurate as it can be on a site that size, but it can be easy to miss things its so vast

Bright sunshine in Dorset this morning (Friday 19th) so should dry up ok. Looking forward to a good turn out from the miniatures. Went to Purbeck rally last weekend but sadly only 3 models which was a shame.

You must be very tierd. Both engines looked good as you passed through Coombe Bissett, we even got a wave from the top of the hill!

The site looks so much smaller with very little on it. Cant believe how much stuff they cram in!!
An the play pen looks nothing more than a pimple, is it less steep than last year? LOL

I'm so excited.
Good luck to everyone driving engines down there, hope you have a good journey
