That's a laugh, I enquired a couple of years ago, and what you offered wouldn't even cover the diesel.

Thats a nice statement, on New Years Eve, when everybody is wishing a happy new year, Whatever happened to "Hail Fellow Well Met?" you miserable sod..anyway I thought you lads didn't do it for the money!

windmiller78 31st December 2010 10:20 PM

david tends to work on another level to many of us. to be honest you go to a show cos your invited, and you want to go, if you get any expenses its a bonus, this is a hobby after all. happy new year to all.

Engine John 1st January 2011 07:38 AM

I don't think you can put a price on what Dave has to bring to a rally though...

myfanwy 1st January 2011 01:13 PM

If my memory serves me right David I think you wanted to bring a portable which was not even in working order but never mind just to put the records right the minimum we paid each exhibit was £200 and those further away got more. As I said if you are interest give me a call and we will come to an arrangement

An unrestored portable LOL should pay £80 per ton!

davidje 2nd January 2011 04:56 PM

We are planning to be there this year for the first time. We will just be watching and I will be penguining. I just have to find a nice hotel nearby to meet the Terms of Agreement I have with with my wife :)

windmiller78 2nd January 2011 05:34 PM

i would have loved to go with our engine, but sadly my wife's got other ideas, she's due may 1st!

Basil 2nd January 2011 08:16 PM

We've found an hotel.. I was going to ask what the weather is likely to be but as you have covered that, I have another question; Is there a dress code for attendees at Rallies in Wales?

Hi

If last year was anything to go by, if you go on the evening run, wrap up warm, I remember coming back from the pub in the Charabanc and it was more than a little chilly! The rally Field must be sheltered as when we left I was loveley and warm in my jumper, but up at the top of the road and by the pub, it was a little cool! Shivering as I write!

Cheers

Dave

myfanwy 6th January 2011 08:32 AM

Dress code is you must have a leek!!

Victor Vectis 6th January 2011 08:46 AM

Broken Firebar 6th January 2011 04:36 PM

myfanwy 6th January 2011 05:26 PM

davidje 6th January 2011 08:20 PM

basil JNR 6th January 2011 08:24 PM

No rain at all last year just lots of sun!

buzzy bee 6th January 2011 09:10 PM

myfanwy 7th January 2011 12:05 PM
