We steamed David Philpot's Clayton & Shuttleworth from Luton to Old Warden today, 21.2 miles, in not very good weather, we got rather wet. I think we are the first engine to arrive on the site, certainly didn't see any others.

Malc.

Mr Steam Jnr 4th September 2008 08:47 PM

Yes your the first engine Malc and I didnt envy your trip when Dad said earlier that you'd just arrived!

Despite the weather over the last few days I would like to confirm that the event is still going ahead. Been to the park this morning and its drained well and is still hard with just the grass wet on top. We start setting up from tomorrow.
