Aveling Drawings
In need of boiler drawings for a 1920 ten ton single A & P roller. Any suggestions as to where I might be able to get them please ??
Cheers WW |
Andy
Is it piston valve or Slide? I have one for a PV. |
I think I have one for a slide valve, but will have to check.

I have just checked and haven't got a boiler drawing, Sorry.
I have got a drawings for all the shafts, including the crank shaft. |
I have a boiler drawing for a BS 10ton, thats with a round top boiler NOT the belpair type.
Obtained it from Lincoln Archive some years ago, know they should have both styles. Nick |

Indeed the drawings are required for 9103; the boiler, box etc. has been condemed and so am dismantling the engine to achieve the objective. Out of interest, how long should it take to completely strip it down to 'the bones' bearing in mind no machines to assist (forklifts and the like) and all nuts/bolts undone with hand tools ??? |

Best of luck with the project! :) |
I've just read the previous thread... Alston?!!!!!
Having spent a great deal of time in (or rather, under) that part of the world, I'd love to know where! Is it the roller that actually lives a bloomin' good walk away from Alston over at the top end of Weardale, umm, St John's Chapel way is it? I can't remember exactly which village now! I'm not interested in an exact address, feel free to PM me with just the general area if you'd prefer. I nearly went up to Alston/Nenthead for the day on Saturday (but was lazy & didn't). |
