Bedfordshire Steam & Country Fayre 2009 (Large Pics)

I was going to go down on the Saturday for this event but the car descided to break so I went on the sunday this time. What a lucky break there as the weather could not have been better for me to take some snaps while the sun was shining down.

No prizes for guessing what the highlight was for me this year.

What a brilliant turnout of engines and as usual. Full credit to all who are involved in bringing this event together.

Here are some of the photographs I took while attending this years event. I hope you enjoy them.

Sorry about the size of this thread but hopefully you will enjoy looking at these images as much as I enjoyed taking them.

First time at Bedford this year and what a show!
Standing next to Harry Lees Steam Yachts and the line of showmans engines late on saturday evening was just magical.

Thats me on the Burrell SCC, it was built by Dave Evenson using his own castings and completed in 2001 i am currently loaning the engine for a while! As for the foster behind it its being built to drawings which the owner has found and is copying to produce a replica engine, Nice workmanship too.

Some nice photos, enjoyed the weekend as this is the first time I have attended the rally!

Hi

That album thing looks great, will really make TT look good!

Cheers for all the pics again, and to David for the albums facility.

Fantastic pictures thanks for posting them.

Why is it I leave a show (always a couple of hours later than planned) thinking I have seen everything only to see pictures or discussions later on mentioning something that I really wish I'd seen. If only there was a couple more hours in the day.

Fantastic show - great to see engines skattered about and not in one line. Every corner gave you something else to look at.

Some bloody nice pictures here! All the most interesting machines in one place, including the restorations of the year in my opinion - Lyons Tea DG6 and Wait n See, but unfortunately missing Jim Stanley's S4 (next year Jim?).

I say it every year, but I really must get to this one next year!

suzukiman 29th September 2009 03:18 PM

Great Pics...thumbsup Love the Lyon's Tea Steam Wagon :D

Cheers
