Astle Park Rally Cancelled???

Just heard on the grapevine that Astle Park rally next weekend is off (?). Something to do with no engine owners getting paid at Pickering and that Events Office has gone bust. My source is pretty reliable, can anyone confirm or deny? Certainly Events and Exhibitions website seems to be offline suddenly.
Any news, Any one?

Cheers,
Mark. (had been looking forward to going!)

Really hope not...many more incidents like the one he was responsible for at this years Pickering and the movement will really be in trouble

You know I'm sick of hearing how everything thats gone wrong with Pickering this year is down to Simon Boak. Well it isn't. I'm not saying he's perfect... but don't you think if he was going to run away he'd have done it years ago. Also I was helping out at an exhibition earlier in the year that involved the new owner? of Pickering Rally and I didn't like the look of him then. Myself and one or two others thought he looked a bit shifty back then. So leave Simon alone he was only a consultant this year. And if you watched the video of the meeting (youtube) at Pickering the woman kept tripping herself up. And Simon wanted to be at the meeting but the new owners security staff wouldn't let him go in. Ok Simon isn't whiter than white but come on, most engine men and other exhibitors have known Simon for years and know what he's like so if the engine men and exhibitors feel that badly done by why!! do they keep going back? He also went to Lincoln Rally to speak with the engine men. I was at Pickering as I am every year and apart from the disappointment of the roadrun getting stopped, I had a brilliant time.

Can anyone tell me if this rally will draw a similar amount of exhibits compared to what would have been the original show that should have happened in August.
I am thinking of going for the first time but would like to think that there will be enough to see in a day*think.
Any info' would be appreciated .
