Pickering Traction Engine Rally 2009 (Large Pics)

Not a bad turnout of engines again this year, shame Lightning II didnt attend but at least the weather held out this time.

Here is a selection from the hundreds of photos I have taken at this years event. Enjoy.

And a few evening shots just for good measure

As usual, plenty more can be found here

Looks a good line up. What a shame it could be the last! (Lightening II is in a yard in Sussex undergoing major work).

Ah but at least that owner can claim his missing money on tax payers expenses.

jamiepreston 9th August 2009 07:23 PM

Lightning II is still undergoing major rebuild and was never going to attend this event. Her first public outing won't be untill next year.

:D my dad Robert, as an MP though perhaps he was just as lucky to escape the event with his life; especially with accusations of stealing coal (we were burning wood on our other engine, so a little extra coal for the road run and getting home didn't seem too unacceptable)
