Prestwood

The Chiltern Traction Engine Club's annual rally is held at Prestwood nr High Wycombe, Bucks on the 4th & 5th ( this weekend )

Anyone going from here ???
I will be there with my engine which is travelling by low loader for a change.

I'll be there on Friday evening, the Clayton will be on the site sometime today! This is due to David's Land-Rover blowing it's head gasket last Sunday and thus not being available for roading the Engine to Stony Green. So, for the first time in 27 years 48154 will be travelling to Prestwood on Albert Fensom's low-loader.

All being well I shall be there on Sunday to pull them down, hoping the weather will be a bit cooler...

Hi Jim,

Yes it is a rare occurance, I had it low loaded because I was at Old Warden last week for the steam apprentice 30 anniversary do.
I didn't have the time to road from Old Warden.

Thanks for the info. We spent the day at Prestwood on saturday. Was great catching up with people and the weather was kind not too hot and the rain held off. I saw your engine, looking good.

Hope everyone had a good rally, where are you all heading for next?

I visited Prestwood on Sunday and was very impressed, a good site in a nice setting, some very nice engines and plenty of space for things to move around...
