When did the Ransomes arrive??, it was certainly not there when I left late Saturday afternoon. |
The Ramsomes came Sunday morning

That Mclaren looks a nice bit of kit.
|

|
Other than the obvious part name on the lid, who owns the RSJ and where does it live?

i believe its made up from a few bits of different engines. |
I think the current owner bought it as a pile of bits and put it back together
|
I don't think he did!!

ok, so he may have built it himself out of parts he may have bought. |
Don't think so - Ray Preece the previous owner rebuilt the boiler ( fitted a new firebox etc.) and took it to Dorset 2007 I think, in a finished and running state.
It's always looked as it does now in preservation. |
I think the Pirate is talking about the full size Ramsons where as mugglesquop and myself were talking about the model that MG asked about earler in the thread.

My apologies - must read more carefully.
The freelance is owned by a guy from Bridgend, South Wales. He purchased it as is a few years ago - knowing nothing about steam engines. It's often described as a Burrell Road Loco!! Single speed an' all. Lister A stationary engine flywheel. |
