Historic Dockyard, Pompey..

9th and 10th of May so not this weekend but next!

Is anyone here (daft question cos I know a couple are) taking any engines down.

Last time I visited was two years ago and you could walk around the site for free but is this the same on the steam day or do I have to pay, Im not really interested in the boats and ill only be down for an hour or so!

See you there!

I've got all the passes and am going with my engine. There are quite a few local engines to me that are going so its definatley on. Look forwards to seeing some TTer's there.

From the look of the site plan etc, there should be some working demonstrations as well as the usual engines trundling around the site.

This coming weekend

Just a reminder that it is this coming weekend.

I shall have my roller there, but will be looking after 'Ivor the Engine'.
Please pop by & say hello, as I will need the conversation! ;)

More details, prices etc can be found on the website

Cheers

May I suggest that as Dan is feeling that he needs more conversation and stimulus...rather than the usual odd questions thrown at him from the public....we have a TT meet up at Ivor The Engine (you'll work it out when you get there) at 1.00pm on each day.

Come and say hello anyway.

The programme which has been sent out with the press pack lists 27 steamers of various kinds and the Leach and Overington Concert Organ.

Wandered how long it would be before someone was going to mention that!! Besides how come you know the name of the driver...

... sounds like a secret follower to me!! ;)

Anyway I don't wear glasses, have a beard & am a bit on the dark side to pass off as Jones!

But will be dressed in my period costume, which will give you lot sometime to laugh at no doubt!! :o

Technically Ivor is far before my time but I do confess to once being a avid thomas follower when I was younger! Infact Mr.Harris saw me at Thomas at the mid hants! (I was with my nephew!!) That said he did have a A4 with a big cheesey grin on it... haha! :)

Will-Higgs 10th May 2009 07:54 PM
