Twyford Watworks May Open Day
 

Twyford Waterworks will be open this sunday from 11am - 4pm.

We are expecting Rollers, TEs, Mins, a Minature Railway will be giving rides, cars, stationary engines, Free Vinatage bus service from winchester Broadway and train station.

Tea room will be open and theres gonna be a BBQ.

Bargain day out at £4 for over 16's unders free..

Was hoping to bring the old rust bucket, but can't fit it all in.

Will be bringing the living van over & crewing on Mr Rackham's Aveling Tractor instead.

Me no thinks we are going to have any where near as many as we did last year

Unfortunatly i cant be there, sounds like a good rally what with the engines plus the exhibits at twyford. :(

Unfortunatly we can't make it as the waggon is still in bits, May try and come have a wander round though! Always wanted to bring the waggon to Twyford, Maybe next year!

Good to see some photos of the day & to see that my old LzR managed to get in on one of them! But at least Mr Rackham's Aveling was in there too ;)

Thanks for those involved for a great day, as an engine owner. I felt very warmly welcome & well look after. Only hope that next time I will get to bring mine own over!
Also thanks to Mr Higgs for crewing & looking after the Aveling today, only hope he wasn't missing any of his duties!?!
Even if you didn't by me an ice cream. Not that I would mention it of course! :p
(It's going to take a very long time to live that one down, I hope you know that?!?)

Was a Good turn out today and we had over 400 paying adults and over 100 more wee-ones. We think we have made a fair amount and also we are open tomorrow for tours.

Thanks to Dan for letting me steam/crew the avEling for the day! and I know im not gonna live down the ice cream!!

Many thanks to the very nice & kind young lady that did buy me an ice cream, not that I would mention that anyone had forgotten to get me one when getting theres!

But also for the good photos that have been taken, those ones are good you have they Mr Higgs. At least you have come in useful for something! Not just for the blame for when it all goes wrong, but I am sure it was your fault anyway! :p
