:)Can anyone say if pickering is on this year please

August 6 7 8 & 9 I believe. A week later than usual, but worth checking officially as I heard it 43rd hand!

Entry forms are out,so it must be on

It stacks up if it's a week late because Astle Park has been put back a week. He wouldn't have two rallies on the same weekend.

So if any of those Showmans Engines that are at Welland and want to pop into Kemble on the way up to Pickering rather than go back to their respective bases, there is plenty of storage space (lowloaders, caravans etc) at Kemble. What you don't get in attendance money you will save in fuel.

Pickering is on this year and i believe Mr Boak is running it.

Good to see that Nostell Priory will now take place in June , that date is usually open around here for steam events I only hope the entry list isn't down because of the date move :cool:

I also hope this results in Harewood rally at end of August being up on attendance and more of a return to something like it was in the golden years!

If the organisers of the Temple Newsam and Nostell rallies have moved their events to avoid the clash with Harwood, then they should be congratulated!

I go to both Harewood and Temple Newsam but I did notice that last year Temple Newsam had a poor steam turn out for whatever reason but Harewood maintained the numbers so maybe this has caused the date adjustments.
I think it has to be the right decision , I hope.
