Christmas Road Run 2008

Monday 29th December

Starting from Saunders Yard, Arlesey Road, Stotfold and passing through Arlesey and Stotfold stopping at various public houses along the route, ending up at Tudor Oaks by the A1 at 4pm. Evening entertainment and party at Timbers Live Music and Cabaret Club (next to Tudor Oaks).

Stotfold is just off the A1 at J10

I should imagine the layby will be ok the school is not open.

As per information given in the link above the start is at 10am from the yard in Arlesey road Stotfold.
I am sure that places can be found for trailers and cars etc.

Pubs are set route is planned.

another very good day. great to see the engine, they have done a stunning job on the ploughers and it was nic to see the sentinels and the tiger progressin well. my photos from the day will b on sometime next week.

well done to trix and lofty and their crews on completin the whole road run route, not an easy task on models that size, shame the bigger models could not have done the same thing tho.

Lol, yes they did do very well I would of liked to have gone further but was having trouble(I had caught 'girl flu' and felt rubbish) and it was a bit far on strakes. Was nice to get out briefly with it, and was very nice to see all the other engines. It was my first Saunders/Stotfold road run and I enjoyed it!

Good day out, nice to meet up with people and see engines under restoration, and on the road ,nice to see Alan Howard again even though i didnt reconize him, well done lads for another good day.

havent seen wheatsheaf in a while last time was at dorset 5 years or so back maybe more

Just a quick word of thanks to the organisers and particpants for the Stotfold road run.
Christmas wouldnt be Christmas without it!

I am sure there are many other steam starved folk such as myself who really appreciate the efforts those had gone to (at such a busy time of year) to prepare their engines (full size and minatures).
