Trevithick Day 2022

Can one of our Cornish members confirm that it will happen this year?
The official website was fossilised for a long time, but has recently been changed to show the date (April 30th) but most of the rest of the website is blank.
It's always a great day out and not just for the steam, but travelling from Gloucestershire we do need to secure some accommodation in good time.
Thanks in anticipation.

I would like to bring my miniature again this year if anyone knows the section organiser.

Cheers Jim

Patsy was the person I emailed back in March 2020. I will PM you her email address. I don't know if she is still the contact however.

I think you probably mean Pasty Caple - owner of Aveling roller Hercules

Thanks, it's come alive again compared to the beginning of the week! I am happy to take this as confirmation.

I spoke with Pasty this evening and he confirmed it is all going ahead.

He said that those interested in attending to give him a call on 01872 510538, leave a message if necessary and he will get back to you.

Cheers Jon

Does anyone know if there are any arrangements for disabled drivers with blue badges and very limited mobility?

I can only speak as a visitor to the MTE area although did many years over in the back carpark in the stationary engine section. But the miniatures are in a large hotel carpark so I imagine there's no issue with your parking, however you have to be there early as they close the road around 0700 or 0730. I used to come down the night before. For me, I would have to leave at 5am

If I get accepted I might have to ask to stay at King Edwards Mine again and then tootle over in the morning. KEM used to have an open day on the Sunday so I would make a weekend of it

It's the Lowenac hotel if the link doesn't show correctly.
