Superb photoraphs David.
Thanks for posting. Due to my wifes illness I was unable to attend, much appreciated. |
Do the front brakes work on the black Foden C type steam lorry?
|
Yes I believe they do, a conversion during its working life if I remember correctly. Owned by John Forshaw.

Here are my photos of the showmen's engines at Old Warden. Excuse some of the slightly dodgy tones and contrast of the pictures. I had my camera on an incorrect setting some of the time and I've had to put them through the Photoshop wringer to get some half decent images.

Excellent pictures and especially nice to see "Century" and a couple of Fowells.

Fantastic day at Old Warden on Sunday , highlight for me was seeing McLaren 616 for the first time .
Never come across the engine before and given that it worked locally to me many years ago made my day. Dave |
Super pictures David.
The Gladiator just looks lovely, antiques dealers would go crazy for something looking so mellow. |
I think I have to say that this years Old Warden was the best rally I have ever been to and I have been going to rallies for 47 years!
The whole thing was great, the engines, all the other exhibits, the organising, the road run, the fair and above all it had that old fashioned steam rally atmosphere. A big well done to all the organisers, helpers and exhibitors..... all made a weekend to remember for a very long time. |
