Wanted: Sight glass for the top of a mechanical lubricator....
See below pictures.... we require a c3" sight glass.... the below is 2", and as you can see, it's a little too small... Can anyone help? Please send me a message :) http://i1024.photobucket.com/albums/...pspl5ewxxo.jpg http://i1024.photobucket.com/albums/...psjoke560g.jpg http://i1024.photobucket.com/albums/...pshgwfpkgx.jpg Robey Regards, Nao Miss Co.Sec |
NTET used to sell them not sure if they still do
|
Just been on the website, but they only seem to sell books, dvds, and clothing... Thank you for the suggestion, though :)
|
Have you tried Manzel, I think they still use them on their modern pumps, used to be at Carlisle.
Regards Charlie |
I bought one from preston services a few years ago dont know if he still does them.
|
Try Andrew Semple - he may still have some.
|
Hi Charlie,
No, I've not tried anywhere yet... I was asked today to put something on here by one of our guys who works on the engine in question.... He might very well have tried other avenues, but to no avail.... Will try Menzel, though.... Thank you :) Nao |
Tony, Stuart,

Heritage Steam list one but I don't know if its the right size for your lubricator.
|
Ah! Yes, I have found the one on the Heritage Steam Supplies website.... I bet it's a 2" one, however, I will email them and see what it is exactly, and ask if a larger one can be ordered........
Cheeeeers! :D |
Yoh could soon cut two of the plastic ones. Then glue together
|
I bought mine from the Manzell supplier near Southampton (?).

So on with the search! :) |
It was Colin Hatch who, at that time, was the NTET spares person who put me in touch with the UK supplier. You may like to contact whoever does this now for the NTET.
