Sight Glass......
 

Wanted: Sight glass for the top of a mechanical lubricator....
See below pictures.... we require a c3" sight glass.... the below is 2", and as you can see, it's a little too small...
Can anyone help?

NTET used to sell them not sure if they still do

Just been on the website, but they only seem to sell books, dvds, and clothing... Thank you for the suggestion, though :)

Have you tried Manzel, I think they still use them on their modern pumps, used to be at Carlisle.

No, I've not tried anywhere yet... I was asked today to put something on here by one of our guys who works on the engine in question.... He might very well have tried other avenues, but to no avail....

Heritage Steam list one but I don't know if its the right size for your lubricator.

Ah! Yes, I have found the one on the Heritage Steam Supplies website.... I bet it's a 2" one, however, I will email them and see what it is exactly, and ask if a larger one can be ordered........

I bought mine from the Manzell supplier near Southampton (?).

It's not, no... I contacted them and the only one they supply is 2" long with a 1 1/4" pitch mounting hole....

So on with the search! :)

It was Colin Hatch who, at that time, was the NTET spares person who put me in touch with the UK supplier. You may like to contact whoever does this now for the NTET.
