whats being restored Arthur??
What is the partly restored Ransomes traction?
Sorry Keith and Trystan
I can offer no information on the under restoration engine, someone said it was possibly a Ransomes. I had a good look over it every where including wheel hubs and no lettering/numbers anywhere. the only words was some foreign writing which looked like how to fill the boiler. I have asked via the Bressingham Facebook page for information, if I get a reply I will post it on here. Sorry lads that I cannot be of more help. Arthur |
I was told it was a Ransome's that had been converted to diesel and was being restored by a museum volunteer but sorry don't have a number for it .
would that be ransomes 23321 of 1911 ?
If it is, it used to look like this......

That's the one, I believe it is the only 5nhp traction to survive? Owned and being restored by John Riley.

Edna Driscoll kept both her Burrell and her old Foster at Bressingham for a couple of years after the death of her husband Eric. Both engines were later sold.
