Push Pole

Does anyone have a push pole for sale, save me making one, I saw some ex MOD ones on ebay a while back, liked them.

Cheers

Dave

The M.O.D. ones are ideal for nato hitches but the eyes miles are too slack for a lot of purposes and they aren't cheap from the military merchants.
Set to and make your own using the weld on eyes for pick up hitches.
After I made mine I was advised that it is a good idea to find a piece of wood that fits inside the pipe to improve resistance to folding up in compression.

Try an eBay seller (Gary Grysa) who trades as - Hungram - .

A really nice guy and I bought two from him - the cheapest I found and both were new and rated at 30 tons.
He used to be a regular at Dorset - he owned a big Scammell and used to own/run the excellent, and proper, ex-military equipment stall that was a regular trade stand at GDSF.

Yes, the eyes are very large but they are easily bushed.

Cheers Carl.

Use two pick up eyes in a piece of thick wall box. The eyes are 50mm and are ideal for your job. My pole has lasted years moving engines and 44 ton trucks.

Thanks for all the replies, I have two push poles already, one has weld on eyes one has a coupling eye one end and a jaw the other. I am asking for the mod style ones as I have a specific job lined up for it. I shall try some of the leads. Thanks again. Dave

What part of the country are you in? Think I've got a spare MoD solid bar available.
