Lincolnshire Steam & Vintage Rally 16 & 17 August 2008
 

Held this weekend, 16th & 17th August, on the Lincolnshire Showground, just North of the city. Usually in the region of 100 full size traction engines from far and wide.

On this weekend! Ground conditions are very good, hard roads and mown grass anyway. They've only had a very minimal amount of rain this week too....

Forcast is not good for Saturday but a bit better for Sunday.

Yes, but lets try to look on the bright side eh! The showground stands up to the elements very well, tomorrow is looking a good day, so we can live in hope for the rest of the weekend.....

Probably my best show of the season .
I will be thankful if it stays dry , very good venue for this kind of event thumbsup

i have heard of many people that this is a great rally

it is a brilliant show in all sections. look out for Andrew Quincey's superb Ackroyd a fantastic engine. i have the Burrell 4" ssc roller loaded. if you see me over the weekend stop me and say hello.

I got here yesterday, the ground is good, but a little soft. A few patch showers yesteday, but we have brilliant sunshine today.

Good day out today, no rain when we left at 6 pm, plenty of steam.
Hopefully be back next year with our Burrell after repairs.

Good to see Fowler road loco' "Pride Of Wales" given a run in and out of the arena.:D

how many showmens were they

must have been a couple of dozen.. i didn't get a programme so i can't check.. i counted 16 from the photos i took but i know i missed a few

more like how many conversion was there. a great rally and lots of engines, plus nice 2 see the lads with the johnson sentinel on the A46 on the way bac. my photos wil b added hopeful later 2day.

I see our old Steam Roller 'Billy Boy' has had a bit of a repaint.
My dad will be turning in his grave I expect.

I believe there were 12 listed in the program including scenics and tractors plus an additional 3 late entries.

Didn't make it this year, but looks like I missed a very good rally - probably the best I would've attended this year - bugger! Dad went yesterday and also said he enjoyed it very much.

Try stopping me next year!!!
