All ages welcome (see website for details of how to order invitations)

Hi all,

As an update, we are hoping to have the following full size road steamers at the event -
* 1927-built Foster Gen Purpose "Fiery Elias" - made famous by Teddy Boston and as Trevor in Thomas the Tank
* 1914-built Wallis Expansion Engine "Pedler"
* 1927-built Wallis Simplicity Steam Roller 3-ton "Emily"

We are also hoping that SBR's Fowler Ploughing Engine (BB) will be in steam and also another engine from the home-based collection of road steamers (TBC)

Joining the Five road steamers will be well over 70 miniatures in 2" - 6" scales, various stands and displays and of course Five of the SBR's Narrow Gauge Steam Locomotives!

All attractions are subject to availability

A perfect family day out! Tickets available at www.statfoldbarnrailway.co.uk

Hi Sam. Are you supplying coal next weekend. Thanks.

HStannard 16th April 2016 09:42 PM

Hi Sam are you supplying the sunshine next weekend?? :D thumbsup

ballastdriver 17th April 2016 08:44 AM

I believ there's coal provided, as for the weather it's anybody's guess, but for what it's worth the weather app on my iPhone is predicting fair weather up there for Friday and Saturday and clouding up on Sunday.

Depending on ground conditions and weather, I will be doing limited water / coal runs around the site on Friday evening and Saturday / Sunday morning and afternoon, using firefly and a trailer full of 5 gallon drums, if that helps.

Sam has put so much work into this rally I really hope the weather stays fine for him and all of us. Should be a brilliant show!

See you all there!

All the best

Izzy

Thanks for your words, Izzy. We're looking forward to seeing you all and fingers crossed for the weather. We'll be going ahead come what may but a dry weekend would be the best possible option, and sun would just top it off! We're expecting 85 miniatures Saturday, plus big engines and narrow gauge engines and stands and all the other stuff we've got coming! It should be great (sod the weather!!!!)
