Forncett Museum Open Day

A nice little museum with some mighty engines. Their open day was a good mix all round.
Two full size Avelings, one roller and one tractor and a nice gathering of miniatures.

Andrew (oly2brf5) was there exhibiting some of his mighty fine handywork.

I'm sorry to have missed the road run. Feeling rather tired and still a little 'fragile' after a Saturday night out :o

richspoo 5th October 2015 07:58 PM

it was my very first road run persuaded by the guys there to go along. Had a great time and simplicity behaved like never before.

If anyone got any shots of the Burrell Showmans Engine on the run I would love a copy

Many thanks

Richard

Enormous thanks to everyone who turned out and made it such a great occasion. I'll post some photos when I've finished writing 'Thank yous'.
Bill.

A truely excellent day out organised efficiently by Bill Starling (The idle Fellow), brilliant weather as well (not sure who is responsible for that!) the road run was great fun and organised to be as safe as possible. Can't praise it all enough.

Cheers Chris H

The two big ones who escorted the miniatures on the run.

I was impressed with the confident way the roller was driven off and onto the lorry.

Can anyone help me please, I would like to get hold of the owner of Victory we have numerous conversations on the day and an offer of help was made regarding getting my engine road registered.

Any help much appreciated. We agreed to keep in contact but forgot to exchange details.

Forncett is certainly an excellent destination for a run out, on Wednesday Aveling 7898 soaked up a little Autumn sunshine on her last jolly before being put to bed for the winter. It was a brilliant day out and it was lovely to meet some of the 'usual suspects' at Forncett, and be shown round a fantastic collection. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/11...b5e13be7fb.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/11...0289578f42.jpg
