There was discussion about the Leigh Arms only last night, well that is to say we had to discuss something while we drank Tea, scoffed Cake and sampled the Biscuits !. :D*think

Absolutely. Otherwise tea testing would have had to be put on hold!!

But as no firm decision was arrived at there will have to be another meeting (probably two) before a draft agenda can be put to Committee for initial assessment which will no doubt be sent back for redrafting and subsequent resubmission, after due process there will be an initial vote and if approved it will be sent forward to the final engine crews to be considered alongside a full list of pubs to be found on route !. *think

For the past couple of years, I have organised some Appalachian dancers to perform at this event, which I'm sure you have all seen and enjoyed, they are the only Appalachian dancers in the North West, I have personally sponsored them for a fee of £100 00, would LTEC, The Leigh Arms or anyone else be prepared to "Chip in" towards their costs?.

Danielle told me Ginny Walker (spelling?) counted 22 but possibly included miniatures. Good turnout though, glad we ended up getting their a week early to get a spot.

My first visit to this event. Never seen so many engines and living vans packed into a pub car park before! Great atmosphere and brilliant location. Far better than a lot of steam rallies, almost had me wanting another engine!

Clive Hearsey 6th October 2015 11:17 AM

I understand that on Saturday there was 24 full size & 9 miniatures, not sure on the number of boats.

contractor 6th October 2015 11:31 AM

Well done Clive, a brilliant turn out, did anyone know if my Appelation dancers turned up on Sunday?

Clive Hearsey 6th October 2015 11:43 AM

I believe so Bryn, I was on the road at the time, so missed them.

Gaudin98 6th October 2015 12:38 PM

They did, and very good they were too.
