All on tarmac so no muddy engines or boots!

Hi John, any idea of which full size engines will be visiting this year?

Kelly Miner 10th May 2015 10:28 AM

All being well six Robeys ( 3 point roller 32387, Traction 33348, Convertible 40991, Wagon 42522, Tandem 42693 and TriTandem 45655) one Tasker (Convertible 1513) one Merryweather (Tehidy House 2541) and a Stanley EX steam car.

Just a timely reminder

Sorry John, don't think that we will be up this year due to my Council commitments.

A mini was the most lethal car that I ever driven due to when I went to brake the rim on my size 14 shoes caught on the accelerator at the same time and I shot out nearly onto the middle of Cattedown Roundabout in Plymouth. I have never driven or wanted to drive a mini ever again!

Council Commitments on a Sunday Tom? All work & no play and all that...

Here's a question, how wide is the path and footbridge between the roby trust and the show site and will the bridge take just over half a ton?

Edward 30th May 2015 07:22 PM

Hi Kevin, the bridge is about 4 foot wide and should be able to take the weight, tho you may want to check yourself beforehand.I shall probably take my 4" Foden wagon that way.

kitten 30th May 2015 08:38 PM

Are you parking up at the trust?
Will have to look at that path in the morning.

Sadly, quite so. I have become Chairman of the Planning and Infrastructure Committee for the town and due to retirements etc at the last election I have 3 new members two of which have not been Councillors before. Therefore, I need to get them up to speed by the next meeting which is in a week's time ensuring that they are up to date with the pending development plans for the town as around 600 new homes are scheduled to be built here by 2020.

I am very lucky in as much as I have a excellent Vice Chairman and a first rate team and I am determined to look after them as well as I can.
