Wybunbury Fig Pie Wakes 2015
Sat 6th June,
Usual daftness with locals rolling pies between the 2 pubs. Usually get 4 or 5 engines, think I might also have some old cars as well this year, occasionally get BB on his penny farthing - not had a model appear yet though (unless you count the Bregazzi). Both pub landlords are up for it this year and the tug o war gauntlet has been thrown down again. Even if you don't bring anything, if you are looking for something to do, come along and have a look. Cheers Sams Boy |
Do you want me to sort out dancers again Mark?
|
Yes Please Bryn, they were very well received. Someone should have contacted you
|
I always try to include Wybunbury Fig Pie Wakes in my modelling assignments. ;-)
|
I am just putting the finishing touches to my 4" engine and will be out to play this season. Being localish to Wybunbury I would like to come along too.
What are the arrangements, if any? Les |
Hi Les the event is Sat afternoon starts around 1. Very informal, engines park at either pub, the only time you won't be able to move from the pub is during the race which starts around 3 and lasts about half an hour. Would be great to see you along.
Cheers MRW |

Hi
I hope to have a bike of some description in attendance, time will tell which! :-) Cheers Dave |
All, just a quick thank you to all who put in the effort to bring something to the event. It was a great success and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. The money raised went to local charities. Aplologies if I miss anyone, it is not intentional if I do:
Allison clan for bringing the roller and the john Deere Blacks for Cinderella Bregazzis for the buggy Gleave family for the "bus" and the charabanc Masser Jim for the jeep which went really well with the WW1 tent (I know it's a war out, but it looked good) Mellion, Bryn who brought the dancers. Also rolled a pie - must try harder next year Bryn Stewart Phillips for bringing the very nice new to the area Tasker (&Roddy as a payload) Riley, Dave for the Penny Farthing - scary machine Riley, Les and his wife for the fantastic 4" McLaren Seddon Clan for the Aveling and lending Joe the roller Thanks to Josh Swain, Adam, and Danny Brooke's (Probably don't read this) for bringing tractors and Malc , Potty and Bill for the old cars (definitley won't read this) Finally, Chris B, Rick and Chris the Pole, Without who's efforts, we would really have struggled. Mark W |
Another great weekend.
Thanks All. |
You missed the Dagenham Girl Pipers off the list Mark. ;-)
