2 weeks to Welland,

Got the passes and wrist bands, soon be there for the 50th. First time out with my Ruston Proctor SD class, hope to see you there . . .

Andy is coming along to help crew Warrior. It's good to catch up with everyone. See you there

YYS4BOB 12th July 2014 10:07 AM

Looking forward to this one, haven't been since 2006, but wanted to be there this year.

WelshWizard 13th July 2014 07:38 AM

You will notice a few changes then Bob...Hope you enjoy the show!

Colin Dix 13th July 2014 08:16 AM

The show site will be quite unique, there will be three gauges of rail track operating, it will have standard gauge rail with Bellerophon running train rides, also a 2ft steam hauled working line for the road building gang, that is promising to be a spectacular site with the Road Inspector in his Austin seven. Also on display should be some 3 foot gauge rail with a rather rare and unique exhibit that not many people know exists, or have seen.

I wonder how many other sites have three rail gauges?

Happy days . . . . . . . .

Thinking of coming on the Friday...is there anything I will miss coming Friday or...?

Colin Dix 13th July 2014 08:51 AM

Sam,

Friday will be a fully working rally day with the added benefit of the auction too.

Looking forward to coming back to Welland again with the showman's. One of the best shows I've been to and
I'm sure this year will be better then ever. I would recommend it to anyone who has not been before and those who have will agree with my comments.

All loaded ready for tomorrow

Loads of Exhibitors on the Rally field last night, And new engines to the Rally not seen before. Tonight is the members barbacue, ticket only entrance for club members and the exhibitors that have arrived as a thank you and for the 50th. The new 2 foot gauge is now down and ready for the steam hauled road build train with tipping trucks from Toddington railway.
Do come along . . . . . . not to be missed!

We have an extra field this year for exhibitors to camp in, this is behind the Stationary engines. Nice and flat. It will be a great benefit for the modelers and others that did not like camping on the hill.

For those interested, the one at the front is a Ford Model "A" and the one on the back is an Austin Chummy. All 3 of them were built in 1928!!

Regards

Matt

Look forward to seeing them tomorrow. Great evening this evening. It was just like a steam rally, but with owners only. What a great time . . .

International Steam 26th July 2014 07:25 AM

Loads of sunshine on Friday, I got to 71 road engines so far.

Great to see "The Maid of Cefn Yddfa" moving around the showground.

With more than 20 showman's engines lines up by the fairground, Saturday evening will be awesome...

MrStationHouse 26th July 2014 07:30 AM

Well the waiting is over!

Had my first visit today, great rally

So they are what I need to look out for to sit on the drive of my 1928 house!
