Would have loved to have come down this year Steve, but unfortunately I'll be in France... Hope it's another successful event!
|
Oh no!! I have a wedding to go to that weekend so I'll have to give it a miss this year. I would urge anyone to go to this show, last year was wonderful, a really friendly, hands on event. If you wanted a go at something all you had to do was ask. Even commentators were able to have a go on a plough!! My son and I had a very happy hour throwing sheaves up to the drum.

We'll be there to chop some trees and bail some straw :-)

We really enjoyed our day last year and we're delighted that it's on again.
But please, Steve, don't ever allow it to become the St. Columb Steam & Country Fair. Stef. |
Steve,
I will be down on the Sunday this year - I have a wedding reception to attend on the Saturday evening, involving two Sentinel drivers - Keith Reynolds and Amy Goold. Look forward to getting involved again and of course, I will be reporting for VS..... |

What's your problem, John?
I'm saying to Steve "you've got a really good event going. Please keep it as it is, don't change it". I would say the same thing to Tony Brooks, Martin Oliver, Paul Worbey or Matt Shipton. Stef. |

Sorry to hear that Charlie will not be at the event and I hope that he makes a speedy recovery from whatever he is having done in hospital. I am pleased to hear that Steve Hawkins will be rolling a new road surface after last years weather it probably needs it. Providing that I can borrow a car I will be there.

Good news, all the wheat for threshing was cut yesterday with no problems, and is now in dry storage.

Sorry Steve, I will not be there owing to Council commitments.
I wish you well with the event and will be thinking of you. Regards, Tom. |
A quick reminder to those in the West Country this coming Saturday and Sunday.
"Harvest Home",near St Colomb (not far from Newquay), Cornwall. A lovely event. No market traders. No monster trucks. More like "How T'wer Done in Granfers Day". Well worth a visit. Stef. |
Looking like 10 engines for sure, we will have 2 threshing machines belted up, 2 balers belted up, rack bench belted, and of course the rollers working, "The Gladiator" will be driving lights and the organ will be playing. The tractor boys will be having fun in the ploughing field, along with a single horse training with a set of harrows.
Saturday evening brings the well known "Four Lanes" male voice choir plus support in concert. All welcome, bring your old gear and have a go with us, got plenty of pitch forks !!!! Steve. |
Have a good weekend everyone, sorry not to be with you this year due to family wedding. Oh to be in two places at once. I'd definitely have bagged one of those pitch forks Steve!
