I can see why and its not the Fowler engine. More of that and you would have more people going to Rallys.

minicooper 14th July 2013 05:45 AM

Extra to the programme, the portable engine is Edward Humphries 'Billy' #1642 of 1886. An excellent event.

Rod Boesing 14th July 2013 07:37 AM

Nice pics David, i never saw you, but then i did comment to Bill that we never bumped into anyone we knew, apart from the usual suspects !.

Unfortunately had to miss this, my local event, owing to a family wedding, so thankyou for posting these photographs. It looks like a really special rally, even better than their usual high standard. Ahh well, there's always next year! :(

Abandoned!? That makes it sound as if the engine is unwanted and uncared for! It was most likely lunch time.

Well you got more out of Mr B than a good many people;)

Few of the engines off on a trundle around the lanes in the evening sunshine

One day I went out to buy one Burrell, I have now ended up with four Fowlers. (I don't really know what happened) maybe I need counseling. (Who knows)

Worst thing about Rempstone was someone roading on to Barton gate leaving the site blowing the whistle at about half 7 in the morning.
