Let's hope the weather holds out this year! As good as it was watching all the old tractors and heavy haulage commercials dragging everything out it was such a shame for the organisers! Heres to a drier weekend!

Are you taking the Foden?

He has a fleet of them now. Might be a road train bringing them all down (Plus living van) :) ;)

Yea we'll be there with it. Unfortunately only taking the one with the living van though. The BOC unit will have its first outing at Cumbria Steam Gathering (albeit having to go on a lowloader as it wont quite be finished in time :( )

Are you taking your aveling?

Was hoping to go today as been really looking forward to it, but 25 minutes away it's absolutely teaming down....hope yesterday was a good day for the show.

Weather was fantastic considering the weather forecast I read Friday night , good collection of steam exhibits and probably the best collection of commercial vehicles I have come across ever thumbsup

Couldnt agree more! Lovely weather on Saturday and pretty much no rain on Sunday - a lot better than i expected! And with 29 full size engines and over 500 commercials (so I am told) it was a thoroughly enjoyable weekend!

Maybe next year if its done and can get it there. I did see you when you were leaving through the low loader field, then we were behind you up the road.

Oh dear, i suspect we held you up a little then! Whilst we can do 50 on the flat it does die a little on long hills! WIll be a long trip to Dorset I think!

I did comment on how well you were going, we only just cought up after finally getting out of the site. I wasen't sure what kind of speed your Foden does. Are the indicators on your caravan meant to come on when breaking?

Well I'm not sure "meant to come on" is the right phrase, but we were aware that they did. However that was as good as we could get them in the rain at 5am on Saturday morning whilst re-wiring after arriving with the lorry to collect the living van only to find we had no brake lights at all! We have traced the cause of the problem now though so they will be fixed for next time out.
