That should make three Wallis Expansion Engines attending plus one miniature expansion. Looking forward to it. Perhaps we can get all the Wallis' together for a photograph?

Is anyone roading to Woodcote on FridayI know two are coming from Prestwood! And Vince mentioned he was planning on roading from Cirencester! Anyone else?

William Allchin 9th July 2013 09:51 PM

I attended the 1965 show with my Wallis traction engine no 7685, then called" Nellie". We roaded her from
the Woburn Abbey rally. This was only the second rally I had done with her.
She stood outside without a sheet for 13 years, and we only had paint on the boiler lagging sheets and new smoke box then, the rest was red rust!!.

Unfortunately Pedler will not be able to attend this year largely owing to the costs involved in transport. There has also been a bereavement and illness among the crew's families so we have reluctantly had to decline the invitation. Hope the weekend is a successful one, we are disappointed not to be coming. :(
